Scottsdale Public Library

Our site was recently designed with public use in mind.

It starts with a general hirearchy of tabs at the top with the services we provide. Featured programs and other upcoming programs are featured on the front page. Also a customer favorite is our rotating bookshelf with the New Items at the library. Each cover image provides a direct link to the item in the catalog, and is pulled from an RSS feed of new items added to our catalog.

The bottom footer is also similar to a drop down menu, which provides important (but not top level) information on all the pages of the our website.

Italian blog whose aim is to involve in library related discussion non only professionals but also library users. The blog pays thus great interest in services to the public, relation among libraries and users, users rights. There is also interest for library technologies, web 2.0 and free software.

This blog was born in Liguria (NW Italy), thus it has a certain specific attention to that territory, but such attention is in no way exclusive and all library related themes can be discussed. Users from all over the world are welcome, and posts or comments in langueges other than Italian are allowed, though Italian is the main language of the blog.

Ning but created by Bill Drew

From the site: "This network is for librarians and others interested in Library 2.0." The network now has over 1000 members and is continuing to grow. The forum and blogs are very active. I created this site simply as a way of learning about Ning and Web 2.0 technologies. I am still learning but it has take n on a life of its own. -- Bill Drew
